Down’s league campaign starts in Semple Stadium today

Conor Laverty has named the fifteen to start Down’s league campaign in Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday 28th January with the game throwing in at 6:00pm. Players from nine different clubs are selected in the fifteen with Barry O’Hagan and Pat Havern who jointly top scored in the McKenna Cup (8 points each) both named in the inside line. Miceal Rooney, Donagh McAleenan and Eamon Brown, all of who made their senior debuts in the McKenna Cup are also handed starting berths as Down travel to Tipperary in search of a win to kickstart their bid for a strong Allianz League Division Three campaign.
