Hurling: Carlow defeat Down in Round 3 of the Kehoe Cup

The Carlow senior hurlers overcame Down in the Kehoe Cup on a scoreline of 1-25 to 1-20 in Abbottstown on Sunday.
Ciarán Whelan starred for Carlow as he scored 0-12 in Tom Mullaly's side's five-point victory. Halft time score Carlow 0-12 Down 0-11.
