The Brian O’Hare Cup tournament
took place at Dunavil.
Ten teams
took part with Dunshaughlin from
county Meath welcome visitors.
After the group stages the teams
split into Cup and Shield sections.
Kilcoo beat Clonduff in the Cup
final while An Riocht overcame
Longstone in the Shield final.
The ’Stone began brightly and
went six nil ahead. A Kieran Clarke
goal brought us back into it but
when the ‘Stone keeper turned
a Ryan Donnelly penalty over the
bar our chance looked to have
gone. Ryan White advanced to point
and then Christopher O’Rourke
blasted in our second goal to
win the game.
Team:
Philip Murnion; Ryan White, Philip
Murnion, Declan Higgins; James
mc Culla, Ryan Donnelly; Christopher
O’Rourke, Ryan Clarke, Kieran
Clarke. Subs: Stephan Knox, Adam
White, Aidan mc Veigh, Andrew
mc Allister, Aidan Donnelly, Mathew
Burden. Injured Sean Colgan.
