GAC 40th Anniversary Dinner Dance - 28/01/03
The Atticall 40th anniversary Dinner
Dance takes place on Febuary 1 and after the recent
success of the juvenile presentation night for the
young football and camogie players from Attical, the
Attical Committee will be hoping for another great
success. Tickets are going very fast and can be obtained
from: Cyril Trainor, Paul Fitzpatrick and Damien Quinn.
At the Juvenile presentation night
special guest, chairperson of the Camogie Board, Ben
Fox, presented the awards to the U-14 and U-12 Camogie
girls. This was a special tribute to the U-14 girls
who had done extremely well this year winning the
County Feile, the All County League and Championship.
Individual award winners were:
U-12:
Winner: Louise Spiers,
Runners up: Nicola Curran and Sara Rogers;
U-14
Winner: Carol-Ann Sloan,
runners up were Clare Quinn and Stephanie OHare.
Louis Sloan, senior team captain,
and Oliver Sloan, vice-captain, jointly presented
the football awards.
Connor Sloan was the most promising
young player and he also was winner of the Dennis
Sloan Perpetual Trophy.
