New Senior Manager
The Club are delighted to announce that Malachy Magee (sen) has agreed to take control of the Senior Hurling squad this year. The Club would like to wish Malachy and the players the best of luck for the forthcoming season. All players are reminded that Membership must be paid before the first Match.

Hurling Training
Training continues at Ballela field every Tuesday and Thursday Night at 7pm for the Senior Hurling squad.  All players must attend. The Senior Hurlers are reminded that their first competitive match is on Sunday 4th March in Ballela against Newry shamrocks in the Betsay Gray Cup.

Camogie Training
Training will continue every Sunday morning @10am at the field for all senior & minor Camogie players.

Club Membership
Membership for 2007 is now due and has been priced as the following:
Family package - £60 (parents and sons/daughters who are living at home.)
Senior Player - £40
Junior (U-18) - £20
Juvenile (U12) - £10
Non playing Member- £10

Summer Camp
Ballela will be hosting a Summer Hurling camp which will take place the week beginning Monday 16th July.
More information will be on the website and in the news reports closer to the time.

Astro-Turf Hurling Tournament
An astro-turf ground hurling tournament will take place at Banbridge Leisure Centre on the following dates. Saturday 3rd March, Saturday 10th March, Saturday 24th March and Saturday 31st March.  All players must be at leisure centre 15 minutes before starting time.  Teams taking part are Ballela, Ballyvarley, Liatroim and Warrenpoint.  Please contact Brendan McClure on 07758 326028 for more information.

Ballela Golf Classic
The Ballela Golf Classic will take place on Friday 4th May at Banbridge Golf Club. For more information regarding sponsorship or entering a team please contact any Committee member. The sponsorship fees are: £100 to sponsor a Green, £50 to sponsor a Tee-Box, £150 for the 1st Tee-Box. To enter a Four ball will cost £140 which includes: A round of golf, meal, entertainment and prize giving. Top prizes to be won and once again we urge parishioners to support this event.

Official Pitch Opening!!!!
Sunday 6th May 2007 will mark the official opening of Ballela Hurling & Camogie Club’s new pitch. This is a momentous occasion in the long and proud history of Ballela Hurling and Camogie Club and it will take a huge effort to make this day a success. So we call on any parishioners who can contribute towards the event to contact any committee member. Sponsorship is also available as this will be a costly and once in a lifetime event. We will be doing a commemorative programme for the day so if any past player/member/manager has a significant contribution to make please contact any committee member ASAP.

Ballela Club Lotto
Have a go at the Ballela GAC Lotto and win the massive Jackpot of £2800
The winning numbers for Saturday 24h Feb were 3, 8, 9, 24. There was no jackpot winners or £10 winners. This weeks draw will be in Doyle’s pub with the numbers being drawn by John Doyle and Bernard Cosgrave.
