u16(M) Cruise To Championship Win
The U16(M) moved smoothly into the next round
of the champioship with a facile victory against
a game but outmatched Dromara team.
The match as a contest was over by the 13th minute
by which stage Carryduff had notched up 2-4 without
reply. Dromara opened their account with a free(15)
but Carryduff's reply was a goal(16) a Sean McCreesh
won ball from a 45 and shot home.
Dromara did engineer a goal chance but Paddy
Craig cleared brilliantly with keeper O'Reilly
beaten. Carryduff continued to rack up the scores
and by half time the score read:
Dromara 0-2 Carryduff 4-7
Dromara started the second half brightly and
Carryduff suffering squandermania were outscored
4 points to 2 in the first ten minutes much to
the delight of the home support.
Carryduff however stepped up a gear again and
notched 1-5 without reply between the 11th and
18th minutes. The match meandered towards its
conclusion as Carryduff took points when goals
were available and flurry from Dromara in the
last five minutes yielded a sequence of wides.
This was a match from which little could be taken
as Carryduff never had to get out of second gear,
however a win is a win.
Final score Dromara 0-7 Carryduff 5-16

Under 12 Football Update
The under 12 development squad had an excellent
game at St Paul's, Holywood on Monday night.
St Paul's had elected to conceed the points in
the league match with Carryduff, and asked to
play our development squad instead.
Playing on a small pitch the Carryduff boys dominated
the game throughout, only allowing St Paul's a
single score in either half.
The final result of 6-12 to 0-2 has been submitted
as the result of the league match and leaves the
under-12 team unbeaten so far.

U-14's (M) Edged Out In Thriller!
The U-14 team came out on the wrong side of a
3-11 to 3-9 scoreline against Downpatrick on Tuesday
night.
In a very close fought first half, Carryduff
lead by 3-2 to 0-7 at the break. The goals coming
from Declan Doherty, Conall Early and Darragh
Goodwin. Early and Liam Morgan added the points.
The second half was an even tighter affair with
the lead changing hands at least 5 times. Both
teams played outstanding football and this really
was end to end football. Points from Early (2),
Declan Doherty, Neill Magowan, Danny McClean,
and Phillip Butler put Carryduff in a strong
position to win the game. However, the Downpatrick
side powered on by Neal Cunningham in midfield
racked up 3-4. The third goal came at the death
and proved to be the killer blow for the Duff
men. A goal chance went begging at the very end
for Carryduff who had to settle for their first
defeat of the season. It was a game the boys did
not deserve to lose but they can take heart from
this thrilling performance and it will surely
act as a motivating factor for the rest of the
season.
Final score - Downpatrick 3-11, Carryduff 3-9.
