Castlewellan G.A.C Notes Wednesday 5th feb


• Ulster Champions Castlewellan GAC Instumental Club will be carrying Down's hopes of winning an Ireland title at the GAA's Scor Na Og Final which will be held in Athlone on Saturday 16th February. Best of luck to Eimear Walsh Orlaigh McCrickard and Niall McCrickard. Thanks also to Ciara for all her hard work in encouraging young people to take part in this very worthwhile cultural pursuit.

• Shay Flanagan will be distributing our Annual Dinner Dance tickets, that’s taking place on Feb 15th in the Burrendale Hotel, tonight (Wed) 8pm-9pm, Sunday 6.30-pm-7.30pm, Monday 8-9pm and Tuesday 8-9pm. Limited numbers available and music by The Booze Bros.

• Club Lotto now stands at £5450. Last weeks numbers were 7,11,12 &28 you can now play the lotto online @ www.castlewellangac.com

• The Club Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and PRO attended a ‘Comhairle Training Night’ initiative, with officers from Croke Park, in St Malachy’s High School on Tuesday 29TH Jan. Despite a poor attendance by other clubs the night was a most informative, enjoyable and refreshing outlook into running a G.A.C.

• The committee has now filled most club team management positions. Anybody interested in actively helping out or managing any of our teams, especially underage is actively encouraged to contact Club Secretary.
