Dundrum Club Notes - 13thd March 2008

DUNDRUM CLG NOTES

Senior, Reserve, Minor Training and Matches

Last weekend an understrength senior team put in a good performance against Saval to lose by 2 goals. This weekend just past, the seniors played St. Agnes from Belfast in a challenge game.
This Sunday the reserves will play Aughlisnafin at 11am in Annsborough. Training continues on Tuesday night at 7.30pm, and Friday night at 7.30pm. All senior, reserve and minor players are must attend and if they cannot make it get in touch with a member of the management team to let them know. The first senior fixture of the season will be away to Attical on Friday 18th April.

Juvenile Training
U12 training continues every Friday from 6pm to 7.15pm in the Parochial Hall. U14 training takes place on Monday night at 7pm in Ballykinlar - Dundrum players should meet at the changing rooms at 6.30pm for lifts over. U16 training takes place on Thursday at 7pm in Dundrum. Next Sunday, the U12s and U14s will play Carryduff in two challenge games on the council pitches at 2pm.

Membership
Membership for the coming season is due asap for all club members and players at the following cost:
Senior - £25
Juvenile (Single) - £5
Juvenile (Family – 2 or more kids) - £10
These must be paid for insurance purposes, and can be given to any manager or committee member.

Club Race Day
The club plans to hold its second Annual Race Day on Saturday 10th May at Downpatrick Race Course. Tickets will cost £40 each and anyone willing to take a table for 10 should get in touch with a committee member. The club will also hold a raffle on the day and anyone willing to donate/sponsor prizes should again get in touch with a committee member. More details will follow soon.

Missing Footballs
A bag of footballs has gone missing from the changing rooms in the last few months, and the club would ask anyone who knows of there whereabouts to get in touch with a committee member.

Club Photos
The club would like to appeal for the donation of photographs in order to compile a collection in the clubrooms. Photos can be given to any committee member.

Committee Meeting
The next committee meeting will take place on Tuesday 18th March at 7.30pm in the clubrooms.

Irish Language Collection
The annual collection to support the Irish language will be taken up after masses next weekend. This money is used to fund scholarships for local children through the Feis committee. Last year approximately £250 was raised in Dundrum and the committee would again appreciate your generosity.

Club Website
The club website will be re-launched in the coming week and the club would like to thank Colm McKibben for the work he has put in over the past few years administering the site.
