Loughinisland got revenge for their
comprehensive beating at the hands
of Glasdrumman earlier in the season
when they faced each other in Loughinisland
on Monday night. From the throw
in Glasdrumman went on the attack
but it was Loughinisland who drew
first blood with a point from Gary
Gordon after two minutes which Raymond
Clarke answered almost immediately
with a point from a free.
Live wire full forward Ryan Stranney
got two points in a row for Loughinisland
in the tenth and thirteenth minute
before Raymond Clarke scored Glasdrumman’s
second point of the night three
minutes later. Dan Gordon and Ryan
Stranney added to the Loughinisland
total to leave the halftime score
Loughinisland 0-6 Glasdrumman 0-2.
Loughinisland were first to score
through Dan Gordon after four minutes
of the restart but again Raymond
Clarke kept Glasdrumman in the hunt
with his third point of the game
in the eighth minute. Dan Gordon
added another point in the fourteenth
minute followed five minutes later
by a point from John Turley but
again Raymond Clarke pulled one
back for Glasdrumman. Dan Gordon
and Mark Trimble exchanged points
before Paul Brennan was called upon
to make a couple of good stops for
Glasdrumman.
After twenty eighth minutes Dan
Gordon got his name on the score
sheet again but Raymond Clarke scored
an excellent forty five for Glasdrumman
to leave the final score Loughinisland
