Glasdrumman Club Notes 28th Oct 2008


GLASDRUMMAN GAC NOTES

1 The Seniors won their first promotion play-off game on Saturday beating Bredagh in Ballykinler. The second play-off game is against Ardglass in Newcastle on Sunday 2nd November, throw in at 2.00pm.
2 There will be loads of fun and games on Halloween night in the clubrooms including a Fancy Dress Competition, Spooky Halloween Disco and other Halloween favourites. Please come along and join in the fun beginning at 7.30pm, everyone welcome. A buffet supper will be provided and entrance is free!
3 U-8s training has now finished for the year. The U-8s end of year party is this Saturday, 1st November, in The Fun House in Newry, can all U-8s please be at the Halfway House for 10.30am.
4 Thanks to everyone who helped out at the Scor on Friday evening in the AOH Hall. Well done to everyone who represented the club so well on the evening and congratulations to the Ballad Group which won through to the Semi-Final.
5 The Club Committee are putting together a development plan to help improve the facilities and functions of the club as a whole. We will be asking for ideas and support from club members, friends, families and the wider community to help achieve this. Questionnaires will be distributed shortly and we would ask they are returned completed as soon as possible. Your opinion does count so please give us your opinion to allow it to count.
6 The next Committee meeting is on Monday 3rd November, 8.00pm in the clubrooms.
7 The Club, Committee and members of Glasdrumman would also like to send their condolences to the McCartan family circle on the sad death of Willie Cousins in Australia, uncle of Art and Dan McCartan. Go ndeanai Dia trocaire a d’anam uasail dhilis.
8 New Club merchandise available, including new club coats, £25 for junior sizes and £30 for adult sizes. Please contact Collette Burden or Terry Joyce for any orders.
9 Bingo as usual on Thursday night at 8.30 pm in the Clubrooms, the tote currently stands at £1,750.
