South and East Down Scor Finals

EAST DOWN SCOR

Saul Sweep Scór board

A Great night of entertainment was supplied at the East Down Scór Sinsear finals in St. Malachy's High School on Sunday 24th February. There was a host of music, dancing, singing, storytelling and a battle in the quiz. The final was well attended with the honours of the night going to Saul. The club picked up four East Down Titles and coming runner up in the Ballad group singing. Drumaness came close behind winning the Ballad group section and coming second place in Celi Dancing and Question time. Other honors were shared amongst Bredagh, Loughinisland, Kilcoo and Leitrim.

Castlewellan All Ireland Scór na nÓg finalists performed at the beginning of the 2nd half. This fine trio battled through 6 rounds to come 2nd place in the All Ireland and did their club, county and province proud. Lets hope that some of the East Down Acts going through to the County Final next week will have similar luck in following the junior group's success.

The County Final will be held in St. Malachy's High School, Castlwellan starting at 6.30pm sharp. Competitors are asked to be there for 6pm to facilitate a prompt start. The East Down Scór board wishes all of its competitors the best of luck in the County Final next week.
