Downpatrick venue hosts senior hurling final - 28/08/2002

For the first time in many years the Harp lager SHC final between the holders Portaferry and Ballygalget will be played outside the traditional Ards venue.

The reason for this is that McKenna Park, Ballycran is being renovated and will not be available. So Pairc Tomas Ruiseil in Downpatrick will host the Mourne county showpiece on Sunday, September 29th, with the curtain-raiser being the J.H.C. final between Clonduff and Ballygalget.
