Christy Ring Cup - Semi Final: Down 3-18 Roscommon 1-15

The Mourne County led by 2-8 to 0-10 at half-time courtesy of goals from Daithi and Eoghan Sands while right corner-forward Daithi added his second, and team's third, in the 59th minute.

In the opening ten minutes of the game Roscommon took a four point led before Diathi Sands opened Down's scoring with an 11 minute goal and the game was level a minute later with a Paul Sheehan point.  Eoghan Sands scored Down's second goal on the 15th minute to put Down in front on a score line of 2-02 to Roscommons 0-05.  Half time score Down 2-08 Roscommon 0-10.

In the opening 8 minutes of the second half Down added another 5 points to leave the score Down 2-13 Roscommon 0-10.  Daithi Sands scored Down's third goal on 32 minutes to put Down 3-16 to 1-13 in front.  Over the last couple minutes of the game both sides exchanged two points each with Eoghan Sands and PJ Davdson socring for Down.  Final score Down 3-18 Roscommon 1-15  

Down will take on Meath in the final on Saturday 22nd June in Croke Park.
